The premise

The most useful Data and AI conversations in this market never happen on a stage. They happen off the record.

Every conference tells you what the technology can do. Very few rooms tell you what it took, what it cost, and what your peers would do differently a second time.

SIGNAL '26 is built for that second conversation. One evening, one table, and a group small enough that people speak plainly — capped by a working dinner. Before the day, we survey the room. On the day, we put the results on the wall and work through them together — with a panel of practitioners who have built and scaled AI inside real enterprises.

No product pitch, no audience, no recording. What is said at the table stays at the table.

The sealed benchmark

There is a number you cannot Google.

How your AI programme compares to the enterprises operating in your own market. Not a national average, not an analyst estimate — the people in the room next door.

We asked DFW's Data and AI leaders four questions. The aggregated results are sealed until 2 September, when they are unveiled live and become the opening agenda.

On the table

Four conversations,
chosen by the room.

Each theme comes straight from the pre-event survey, so the evening reflects what this group is actually working on.

Theme 01

Data Readiness in AI

How ready is ready enough to move? Most teams sit further along than they think — the useful question is whether the data is good enough for the next decision, not whether it is perfect.

  • Setting a practical readiness bar per use case
  • Sequencing foundations without stalling delivery
  • Ownership: who is accountable for data that feeds a model
Theme 02

Governance at Speed

Control that accelerates rather than blocks. Governance works when it is a known lane, not a gate — teams move faster because the guardrails are clear in advance.

  • Defining "safe to ship" before the build starts
  • Risk, privacy and model oversight that scales
  • Keeping legal and security in the room, not at the end of it
Theme 03

Pilot to Production

What it actually takes to scale a proof of concept into the business — the operating model, the ownership, and the engineering work that turns a promising POC into something the organisation runs every day.

  • Structuring a POC so production is the default next step
  • Engagement models: free, credit-based and paid pilots
  • Handover from experiment to owned, supported service
Theme 04

Measurable Business Impact

The metrics that prove the return. The initiatives that keep their funding are the ones with a number attached before they start, not after.

  • Cost, cycle time and revenue: choosing the right measure
  • Baselining before the pilot, not retrospectively
  • Reporting AI value in language the board accepts

How the evening runs

A sequence, not a schedule
of speakers.

Doors from 4 PM onwards. Exact segment timings follow with the venue announcement; the shape of the evening is fixed.

01

Arrival and introductions

Everyone at the table introduces themselves and the one AI question they came to get answered. It sets the agenda and makes sure nobody spends the evening as a spectator.

02

The benchmark reveal

The sealed survey results are unveiled and read together — where this market really stands on readiness, governance, adoption and measurement.

03

Expert panel

A panel of industry practitioners who have built and scaled AI inside enterprises responds to the data, then takes questions from the table. Panellists announced shortly.

04

Open roundtable

The four themes, worked through as a group. Chatham House rules: insights travel, attribution does not.

05

Dinner & connections

The evening closes over dinner — the unhurried part, where the real conversations continue and the full benchmark report is yours to take away.

Who attends

A deliberately
small table.

Seats are limited on purpose. Keeping the room small and the seniority high is what allows people to speak without a press line — and it is why every place is reviewed before it is offered.

Sectors represented

Banking & Financial Services Healthcare Pharma Retail Telecom Logistics Manufacturing

C-suite, VP and Director level

CDOs, CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Data, and the VPs and Directors who own AI delivery or its budget.

Accountable for AI outcomes

You set direction, sponsor the work, or answer for what it returns — technical background is not required.

Based in or near DFW

Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Irving, Las Colinas, Richardson, Addison, Arlington, McKinney, Denton — anywhere within a comfortable drive.

Willing to speak candidly

The value of the room depends on people sharing what actually happened, not the version that goes in the case study.

What you leave with

Three things that outlast
the evening.

The full benchmark report

The complete aggregated survey results for this market, yours to take back to your leadership team.

A production playbook

The practical moves — structure, ownership and measurement — that carry a proof of concept into daily use.

A room of peers

Direct relationships with leaders solving the same problems, in the same city, at the same altitude.

Questions

Before you request a seat

Is there a cost to attend?

No. SIGNAL '26 is hosted by Palni Inc. and there is no fee for invited attendees. Seats are limited, so we ask that you only accept if you intend to be there for the full evening.

Why is it invitation only?

The value of the room comes from its size and seniority. A small table of decision-makers talks differently than a conference hall, so every request is reviewed against the criteria above before a place is offered.

I lead a business function rather than a technical team. Is it for me?

Yes. The table is built for leaders accountable for AI outcomes, whether you run engineering, operations, transformation or a business line. Technical depth is not a requirement — ownership is.

When will the venue and timings be confirmed?

Shortly. Confirmed attendees are notified first, ahead of any public announcement, so you can hold the evening in your calendar with confidence.

What is the pre-event survey?

Four short questions covering your biggest AI hurdle, the number of tools and pilots in evaluation, your ninety-day priority, and where a proof of concept would focus. It takes under two minutes and the aggregated results become the opening agenda.

Will this be recorded or reported?

No. The session runs under Chatham House rules — attendees may use what they hear, but nothing is attributed and there is no recording, livestream or press.

Can a colleague attend in my place?

Places are offered to a named individual, but substitutions are possible if your colleague meets the same criteria. Let us know in advance so the table composition stays balanced.

Think you belong at this table?

Seats are limited and every place is reviewed. Tell us who you are and what you'd bring to the room — we reply either way.
